Welcome to my website! I hope you learn a little about me and my passion for writing! Here’s the relatively short version!!
School stuff:
- University of Delaware, with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English and Minor in Theatre, concentration in Film Theory, and wrote two screenplays for senior thesis. I graduated magna cum laude with a Degree of Distinction.
- Advanced Screenwriting classes at the University of Penn, and, in 1999, participated in the inaugural Act One: Writing for Hollywood program in Los Angeles.
Treading the Boards: I resumed acting studies at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, the oldest conservatory in the US, and completed courses in voice, movement, and stage performance.
Back to Writing: “Key Witness” published in two literary magazines and two-time finalist in America’s Best contest sponsored by the Writer’s Foundation in the short story category. Established a professional writing career as a creative writer and news reporter, both free lance and as staff for a Catholic weekly paper.
- Wrote three one-act plays performed in readers’ theatre productions, and one fully produced.
- Currently, I’m marketing five screenplays, two formerly optioned.
- “Unearthing Christmas,’ my first novel, started with a dream! “The Years In Between,” the second novel continues the storyline. Three more novels are in the works under the series “The Miriam Chronicles.”
- Wrote and directed two highly successful Murder Mystery plays for the State of Delaware’s Parks & Recreation Division.
Other Stuff: I’m an identical twin, a club I was born into! As a producer, I’m finalizing a documentary about a blind couple raising their own sighted twins.
