Book Reviews

Thoroughly enjoyable read!! Entertaining and inspiring!

Unearthing Christmas was a great fun! I especially enjoyed the story line swinging between the ’50’s and modern day – until they meet. The clash of cultures the ensued reminded me Marty McFly in “Back to the Future”! The banter between the girls from two very different times was hilarious.
The message of faith and how they are brought together is uplifting and timely in these turbulent times.

An engaging story for all ages.

Rich characterization and a compelling journey make this book a delightful read. I was invested in the outcome from the first to the last page. The universal themes of forgiveness and a longing for meaning and closure will touch the hearts of everyone who enters into this life-changing story. Review by Ria Haley

A timeless journey to what matters most

This is a great story by a wonderful writer. Unearthing Christmas is a timeless journey to what matters most in life. A great read and perfect gift for teens and adults. It’s exactly what we need today.

A Page Turner!

I read this book in just a few days. It was a real page turner! It accurately portrayed real-life with all of its challenges but showed how even the darkest days can bring light.

Uplifting but Real

Reading The Years in Between allowed me to revisit history, relate to friendship, courage and persistence, and reminded me, most of all, that family gives us the connections and love we need to live life to the fullest no matter what comes our way.

Memories

The author did a wonderful job on this book I grew up in the 50s and 60s and this book goes up until 2019 and I remember all the things the author wrote about from the Kennedy assassination and Vietnam War and more. This was a trip down memory lane.I recommended this book.

Enlightening!

Anthea Piscarik has delivered another “I can’t put it down” novel in her latest book, “The Years in Between: the Miriam Chronicles, Book 2”. As Lori attempts to heal from the unbearable childhood trauma of a tornado that changed her life, she encounters a world she had not anticipated. Challenges, temptation and danger intertwined with the joy she finds in her work, family and friends, who seem to “show up” when she needs them most, are a window into just how interesting the journey of life can be. A book that will inspire you to consider the progression of your own life and the circumstances, work, family and friends that have been a part of it!
