Saint Martin Productions - Defining Stories

Stories define cultures and give essence to our human experience. As infants, we absorb words like sponges, whether from adoring parents, storybooks, or, unfortunately harshness, anger or abusive language. They shape our identity and frame of reference in life.

My goal with Saint Martin Productions LLC is to tell stories of faith, hope and love but not in an overt manner. The whole business emerged with developing a storyline about a blind couple raising their own sighted twins. The two children, Sean and Kelley, were two years old when I started. They are now fourteen-years-old and, to this day, the project,  as a documentary, is not yet complete. But I’m not giving up HOPE. I believe it will be a wrap in its own time!

Meanwhile, I am working on a five-book series under the “The Miriam Chronicles.” The first novel, “Unearthing Christmas,” started with a dream. To this day, I live in wonder at how writing a couple sentences on a half-sheet of paper, a description of a visual while asleep, evolved into a story with characters that continue to tell me their own stories!!

While studying screenwriting at Act One: Writing for Hollywood, I developed a nascent interest in visual storytelling. All stories have a visual component, whether projected on a movie or television screen, or in our mind’s eye with a written description.

I HOPE you journey with me as I tell stories. When I speak of faith, it’s not only the faithful, but those that struggle with any belief in God or the existence of good versus evil. Storytellers relay characters in the hope of an honest portrayal. As I’ve said about acting, I don’t have to like the characters I portray, I just have to understand them. It’s the same with life. Judgments diminish us, not the person we’ve judged. Live truthfully whether others agree or disagree.

My stories will not judge or condemn. I’m the recorder of events, and I hope to relay them with abiding interest and creativity. My insight into characters is what challenges me the most, and I have the faith that my own experiences will lend truth or understanding to their joys and sorrows.

Please join me as I pray to make a better world, the world in my books, my films, and in my own thoughts, words and actions!
